NORMAN ROCKWELL HISTORY
Founded in 1969 with the help of Normal and Molly Rockwell, the museum is dedicated to the enjoyment and study of Rockwell’s work as well as his contributions to culture and society. It houses the world’s largest and most significant collection of Rockwell’s work including 998 original paintings and drawings. As Rockwell’s home for the last 25 years of his life, the town of Stockbridge held a special place in Rockwell’s heart. In fact, many of Rockwell’s world-renowned images were drawn from the surrounding area and its residents.

While the museum’s exhibitions do rotate depending on the season, they consistently feature works such as Rockwell’s drawings, highlights from their permanent collection, and Rockwell’s seasonal paintings.
