Since welcoming its first guests more than two centuries ago, the Red Lion Inn has developed a reputation for outstanding food and genuine New England hospitality. Those traditions are continued today by Executive Chef Brian J. Alberg, whose kitchen features contemporary cuisine that is rooted in the region's history. Emphasizing natural flavors and the use of fresh, local ingredients, Chef Alberg regularly updates the Inn's menus to reflect the bounty of each changing season.
Guests can choose from the elegant Main Dining Room, the cozy Widow Bingham's Tavern, the casual Lion's Den pub, or, in warmer months, the flower-filled Courtyard. From Mother's Day through Halloween, Jacks Grill (our footloose subsidiary in nearby Housatonic) serves hometown American cuisine in an eclectic atmosphere.
The Red Lion's wine list offers more than 200 selections, and has received the Wine Spectator Award of Excellence for seven consecutive years.
